Katie & Michael's Lovely Day at The Athletic Club of Columbus
Katie and Michael's day at the Athletic Club of Columbus was full of beauty in so many ways. She asked for a blend of dusty lavender, blush, and mauve tones paired with greenery, and gave us full creative license to come up with a plan to make that happen. Photography is by Holly Ann Photography, and she took wonderful detail photos our the flowers, which we always appreciate!!!
The mantle was fully decked out in lush, overflowing foliages and a generous amount of florals of the day. So many photos were taken with this beautiful backdrop from ceremony photos, many family photos, and pre-wedding shots with the bride and groom alone.
Katie's bouquet featured roses, scabiosa, waxflower, stock, ranunculus, jasmine vine, and eucalyptus from our cutting gardens.
Here's a little close-up of her bridal bouquet which I'm so thankful Holly Ann took, as it shows this hard-to-get multi-toned ranunculus called 'Cappuccino'.
Getting to one of our favorite and most dreamy aspects of the floral design is the abundance of vines which we wound up the grand staircase. The venue added candlelight to add that romantic glow.
Centerpieces included these rose gold geometric pieces with florals spilling out of them, grey-toned wooden boxes with florals, and a third short centerpiece shown below. We enjoyed adding lavender succulents to these as well. Succulents come in so many great and unexpected colors, and we were so happy to get our hands on these which were just the right color!
The head table featured a fresh garland with occasional blooms added for color. I love how the placement of this table lines up so beautifully with the large window!
... and a bit of flowers to accent this sweet, tall cake --
