A Private Wetland Wedding in Union County | C&S

Designing for this celebration felt effortless in the best possible way. With complete creative freedom, the floral direction was shaped to remain understated, allowing the beauty of the private wetland setting to lead while offering moments of interest and discovery throughout the day.

The design blended naturally into the landscape, favoring organic textures and natural movement rather than structured or formal arrangements. Personal elements played a meaningful role, including bittersweet vines gathered by the groom’s mother from her own road frontage—an authentic addition that felt deeply connected to the setting and season.

The ceremony unfolded with straw bales arranged as seating in a way that felt uncontrived, as though they had always belonged there. Assorted, dramatic aisle arrangements were placed among them, adding softness, movement, and visual rhythm without overwhelming the space. A young flower girl fully embraced her role, contributing to the relaxed, heartfelt tone of the day.

Together, these elements created a celebration rooted in place and season—rich in texture, quietly artistic, and reflective of the kind of nature-driven fall wedding that continues to feel timeless. Photography of our floral work by Periwinkle Photography.
