Spring Romance at the Columbus Museum of Art for Allison & Phil
Event location: Columbus Museum Of ArtSet amidst the beautifully curated galleries of the Columbus Museum of Art, this peony-filled wedding balanced refined florals with an elevated garden sensibility. Led by creative planner Tracey of Tracey Castrejón Events, the day balanced softness with drama, allowing florals and architecture to work in quiet conversation with one another. Every detail felt thoughtfully layered, honoring both the couple’s vision and the museum’s timeless setting.
The floral design leaned into a girly, sophisticated palette of pinks, corals, peaches, and blush, creating a look that was polished without feeling too serious. At the heart of the design stood a dramatic floral arch, lush and full, anchoring the ceremony with unmistakable presence. As the day transitioned, the arch was moved seamlessly into the reception, where it continued its role as a striking focal point in the ballroom and acting as a single statement piece which carried the story from one moment to the next.
Soft, rounded floral arrangements dotted the ceremony aisle, adding depth and rhythm without overwhelming the space. These same pieces were later transported into the reception and elevated as tall centerpieces, giving the room a sense of dimension and abundance. The result was an experience that felt cohesive from start to finish—romantic, artful, and effortlessly elegant. Beautifully captured by Tessa of Starling Studio, the day stands as a wonderful example of how refined florals and thoughtful planning can transform a space while still letting the setting shine.
