Ohio Statehouse Elegance in April | G&E
Event location: The Ohio StatehouseFrom a birch chuppah with dramatic fabric treatment set within the rotunda of The Ohio Statehouse to a 25-foot illuminated drapery backdrop in the reception space, this April celebration offered a layered approach to design—rooted in scale, movement, and transformation.
The installation extended beyond a single focal point, with smilax vine draping along the grand staircase leading into the rotunda, a considered mix of centerpiece styles to create visual rhythm throughout the room, and a reception space that evolved naturally as daylight gave way to evening. As the sun set, the illuminated fabric backdrop shifted from soft and airy to luminous and celebratory, reshaping the atmosphere without disrupting the integrity of the space.
