An Intimate High Line Car House Wedding | D&R
Event location: High Line Car HouseThis is a celebration that remains especially memorable—not only for its design, but for the generosity and thoughtfulness that followed it. After the wedding, we were deeply grateful to receive not one, but two five-star reviews across Google and The Knot, along with a handwritten thank-you note mailed to our studio. Gestures like these speak to the collaborative spirit that made the day so rewarding to be part of.
The experience was shaped through seamless collaboration with Jennifer Drew of Something to Remember Events, whose professionalism and care guided the day, as well as the team at High Line Car House, who are consistently gracious and accommodating within their space.
Here is a portion of what our client shared following the celebration:
"Lynette and her team were incredible! She clearly understood our vision from the beginning and provided helpful suggestions based on the season and venue. We had a design in mind for our ceremony backdrop and Lynette foresaw the difficulties and helped us come up with a plan to achieve our vision. It turned out incredible! She was communicative and friendly, while always responding in a timely manner. On the day of, she and her team were there on time and worked efficiently to get everything done with no mishaps. Everything was beautiful and many guests complimented the ceremony backdrop and table centerpieces. We would recommend Madison House Designs to anyone looking for a florist for a wedding or any other event!"

A venue like High Line Car House, with its exposed brick and industrial character, offers a particularly striking backdrop during the winter months. When paired with romantic candlelight and a palette of deep, warming florals, the space transforms into something both intimate and dramatic—an ideal setting for a winter celebration that feels elevated rather than seasonal.
Winter weddings hold a special place in our work, as they lend themselves beautifully to classic floral compositions and rich tonal contrasts. Deep reds, frosted greenery, and layered textures brought warmth to the room and photographed beautifully against the crispness of the season, creating imagery that feels timeless long after the day has passed.
For further inspiration on the advantages of winter weddings, Together & Company has shared a thoughtful perspective on the many benefits of hosting a celebration during this season at their venues. This can be found on their website.
