A Refined Christmas Affair at The Westin, Columbus
Event location: The Westin ColumbusAshley and Justin’s mid-December wedding at The Westin, Columbus felt like stepping straight into the heart of the Christmas season—warm, joyful, and quietly magical. As the venue was being set for the evening and while guests arrived, a fresh snowfall began to fall, softening the city outside and setting the tone for a celebration that felt both intimate and unmistakably festive.
From the very first details, the design embraced the spirit of the season without ever feeling overdone. A statement Norfolk Island Pine anchored the escort card display, serving as a dramatic focal point and an elegant nod to classic holiday greenery. Throughout the space, thoughtful touches of holly appeared on the memory table and appetizer displays, adding layers of seasonal charm that felt intentional and personal.
Candlelight flickered against rich textiles, casting a warm glow that balanced the winter chill outside. The color palette leaned into deep reds, burgundy, and berry tones, softened by an abundant mix of evergreen foliages—juniper, pine, fir, and more—woven generously throughout the design. Seasonal drink specialties added yet another sensory layer, inviting guests to linger, gather, and celebrate in true holiday fashion.
The entire day was captured beautifully by Queen Anne’s Lace Photography, whose imagery preserved both the elegance and the emotion of the celebration. Under the thoughtful coordination of Sara of SoCo36 Events, every detail came together seamlessly, allowing the warmth of the season—and the couple’s joy—to shine through.
Ashley and Justin’s wedding was a reminder of everything a Christmas celebration should be: cozy yet refined, festive yet timeless, and filled with moments that feel even more special when shared beneath falling snow.
