Henry Photography Featured {Columbus Ohio Wedding Florist}

This month I'm making it my priority to share with you images from my favorite Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographers. Ashley with Henry Photography and I met back in 2012 when we did a wedding for one of my husband's coworkers, Megan. Designing florals for a horticulturalist who knows her "stuff" was very exciting, as she was open to using a wide variety of unique textures. The following four weddings are ones that we had the pleasure of providing the florals for. Thank you Ashley for letting us showcase your beautiful photography on our blog!

Bridesmaids' bouquets were similar to the bride's with a few modifications... including lisianthus, dendrobium, and the lovely geranium foliage. She and her sister are so adorable together!!

Megan and Kevin's cake was provided by Enticing Icings. I brought her (Cindy) an assortment of blooms of the day, and she went to town with it! Not every cake decorator uses flowers properly on cakes. Flowers of course are grown with the use of chemicals which are not food safe. Cindy at Enticing Icings was careful to wrap every flower stem with plastic wrap before inserting them into the cake, protecting guests from any chemical exposure. I love the spilling effect she created here. Textures and flowers included succulents, dendrobium orchids, ranunculus, green trick dianthus, snowcap mums, and knifeblade acacia foliage.

This is a long blog post.... I've got three more photographed by Ashley Henry to go on about.

Blush pink.... the color of the year 2013 and continuing for 2014 as far as I can see, is at its' best in the following featured wedding! Krista Corbin's wedding, located in downtown Columbus, followed by her reception at the Pinnacle was a spectacular, detailed wedding. Krista, her mom, and I instantly connected as we initially met to discuss flowers and put together a plan for colors and floral selection. I don't need to say much... the pictures are a true reflection of the beauty of the day! Krista's bouquet featured peonies, pink o'hara garden roses, white o'hara garden roses, and more. Blush Pink Love!

She chose to add a pop of raspberry pink into her bridesmaids' bouquets which stood out beautifully with their mocha dresses.

If you're in the market for candelabras, you should definitely check out Lauren Green's crystal. Click here for her website: A Vision of Elegance. I heard that the Pinnacle said their ballroom had never been so decked out! Between the fabulous silky and ruffly linens, the candelabras, and our florals, it was completely finished. The amount of candles running down the rectangular tables was pretty amazing too!

September brings new flower availability with cooler temperatures. It's so fun to come off of the summer season and get into fall as the flower availability and colors change to fit the season. This is Rachel's lush array of flowers in purples, plums, and lavenders. Flowers of the day included ranunculus, orchids, stock, dahlias, trachelium, lisianthus, cremons, purple integrafolia, and hydrangea. We were careful to select a mix of purple tones, with bridesmaids primarily having lighter shades so that they would contrast against the deep purple dresses.

The cake was decked out with a combo of trachelium, cremons, stock, dahlias, and a subtle, striped dendrobium orchid called 'Sparkle'.

Bouquets were used down the center of the tuscan-styled head table, creating a dramatic effect against the white linens. Another fabulous Dock580 wedding here in Columbus Ohio (we deliver there often)!

And last but not least.... I am thrilled to present the wedding of Adam and Elise! We were blessed to have been able to do not only one but two Schroepfer weddings over the last year. Both quite different from each other, but equally fabulous, here are pics from the most recent, Elise's wedding, delivered just this past February, 2014.

Elise choose a moderately cascading style... a little trailing, giving it a natural, asymmetrical look. Those white tulips at the bottom of the bouquet were closed when we loaded the van. It was so exciting to see that they popped open just in time for pictures! Other flowers included ranunculus, anemone, football mums, bridal piano garden roses, white garden spray roses, and italian ruscus.

This is Elise and Leah's mom, Barb. She is one of the sweetest m.o.b.s we've gotten to work with. It was such a pleasure getting to develop a relationship with the family through two weddings and to hear about family news as Leah finished nursing school, their other daughter had a baby, and then working on Elise's wedding. What a wonderful family! Bridesmaids' bouquets were so fun! Thistle, succulents, silver bells eucalyptus, tulips, spray roses, garden spray roses, and dusty miller wrapped with a slate blue ribbon looked great alongside the blush pink dresses and grey tuxes of the groomsmen.
