This 2019 spring photo shoot was dreamed up and coordinated by the truly talented, Berlyn Martin, and has been featured in two stylist blogs https://ohtheheart.com/2019/05/02/coral-and-bright-wedding-florals-and-tablescape/ and https://www.becomingone.co/post/bold-rustic-inspiration. It is set at our flower barn and gardens in Marysville where we have lots of outdoor space in a country setting adorned with apple trees in bloom, perfect for all the right outdoor shots.

It was a peaceful, sunny day as Berlyn and her photographer husband, Josh Martin arrived to set up; however, deep stormy skies would soon arrive right as set up was nearly complete, showing the dark sky's truest colors and the wind's powers...

A spring thunderstorm was suddenly ominous, and although it made for a spectacular photo or two, we couldn't continue in the storm outside.

This stunning set-up would have to move. And in a hurry too because the storm came in fast and furious within a matter of minutes. We were running in the rain back and forth from the barn in an effort to move all the arrangements and entire tablescape indoors.

Luckily our barn consultation area was more than accommodating for this shoot. We were thankful Josh was able to grab a couple photos of our setting in front of our prettiest apple tree before Amy Peppercorn arrived to begin her photography which all had to be done in the barn.

All the amazing tulips featured were taken straight out of our field. We also added in some greenery and apple blossom branches freshly cut from the trees in the yard. We threw in some very deserving hyacinth and daffodils that added their beautiful touch. Does it get any better than that?

This bouquet was filled with tulips and daffodils from the garden and fresh pink and white apple blossom branches. Also peeking out are accents of blue star fern which carry such an intriguing blue tone that couldn't be passed up while in the making of the bouquet.

These vibrant red Steve Madden high heels and flowing ribbons could not have coordinated more perfectly.

These desserts were so dreamy on this antique buffet table draped with dusty blue fabric and paired with the perfect glass of wine. The gold, old-fashioned cake topper found by Berlyn adds quite a statement against the wooden door backdrop. Such a special piece. You will also be pleased to know that the deliciously sweet moscato and macarons from https://www.pistaciavera.com/ did not go to waste.

It's a rare occasion that we have complete creative freedom not only to design to our heart's delight but to also pull everything used straight from our cutting gardens. Most of our event clients have a defined color pallet in mind and need the reassurance from us that specific flower types of their choosing will be utilized in their designs. That reassurance as well as our detail-oriented contracts ensure success in these situations. Once in a blue moon, we are given the blessing of complete freedom in the design process. We have found that this generous liberty allows for the most beautiful, unique, and seasonally spot-on floral creations. Without a rigid flower list to follow, we can hand-select the most beautiful flowers that occur to us at that very moment. Berlyn's vision for this shoot allowed for this simple gift of creative freedom and enabled us to show off not only our growing skills by use of our own field-grown blooms but also our unique design style.

Thank you Berlyn for inviting us to be a part of this gorgeous styled shoot, and thank you Amy Peppercorn for bringing it to life through your camera!
