A Beautiful Country Club Wedding for Megan and Aaron

On a gorgeous and wind-swept day on July the 11th of 2020, we had the joy of setting up this beautiful and artistic wedding of whites, blushes, and mauves at the Jefferson Country Club in Blacklick, Ohio. This was the first large-scaled event that we had the pleasure of being a part of since the pandemic had arrived, and it was a true treasure to be back to work that week with the hustle and bustle of wedding designing.

The ceremony backdrop was this beautiful golf course view staged with our luscious asymmetrical pieces. Ample greenery and gorgeous roses really looked fabulous and so natural under the shade of these big trees, offering a wonderful alternative to a traditional arch. The wind presented us with a real challenge setting up these large floral ceremony pieces that day, as these beauties had to be staked down to ensure they remained upright and stunning!

We love this sweet photo of Megan and Aaron, captured beautifully by Azar Photography and surrounded by our lush ceremony installation. Isn't it the perfect "Just Married" picture? I don't have a photo of this, but one very cool thing about the greenery install pictured above is that we were able to move it from the ceremony to the entrance of the tent during cocktail hour, making great use of these handsome pieces.

Megan's bouquet was definitely a 2020 favorite, and we were thrilled to have gotten our hands on such pure white anemones for her!

From this angle her bouquet looks entirely different! We loved the rich green ruscus foliage and silvery gumdrop eucalyptus added to all of the various roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, scabiosa, and her pops of delicate white anemone. It was a lovely combination of elegant meets natural!

We of course cannot forget the groom's simple yet elegant boutonnière of flowers coordinating with his bride's bouquet! Having this simple touch of floral for him just adds to the beauty of everything coming together.

Megan an Aaron's round head table was taken to another level, decked out with florals in colors of mauve, whites, and blushes with the rich greens and silvery tones from the eucalyptus. The sweet blue napkins against all of these warm girly colored flowers added a refreshing tone on this warm day. Megan and Aaron's tall floral centerpiece was adorned with glass orbs with tea light candles and crystal garlands that hung down from their lush centerpiece atop the gold harlow stand. We have to believe this gave a totally romantic feel for the newlyweds as the sun was setting.

As I mentioned before, the wind was a challenge! That's not the only thing that made our day more interesting. Due to all of the pandemic-related changes as it applies to weddings and events, plans everywhere had to be adjusted and outcomes were certainly a bit different than what was hoped and planned for initially. The wedding was no longer able to be held indoors, so they were outside, under a beautiful tent on the grounds of the country club -- equally as lovely to the original plan, if not more. Because we were now in the beauty of the outdoors though, we were also met with the complications that came with it. The wind is no friend to top-heavy centerpieces, thus we made the hard decision, with the go-ahead of our customer to improvise by nestling the larger arrangements inside the stands rather than on top as planned. Fortunately, the look offered a modern and unique aesthetic and was still quite beautiful.

These gold geometric and floral centerpieces were too cute with the pops of ranunculus, astrantia and jasmine vines. They picked up an elegant glow with our gold antique-pressed glass votive candlelight.

Our original plan for hanging greenery was to weave these lush vines into the venue's chandeliers indoors, but we needed to come up with a tent-friendly plan for the use of these lovely vines that would be just as stunning. This hanging greenery turned out to be both a favorite and a challenge, as you can certainly imagine after seeing the height of the tent peak.

Last but not least, a pair of these voluminous barrel arrangements added so much beauty to the entrance of the wedding and the cocktail area. They had all the pretty, draping smilax, eucalyptus, mauve and white roses.
