This cute young couple, Stephanie and Patrick had their Columbus Ohio Wedding this past November (2011), and I had the wonderful opportunity to design their wedding flowers with a vintage-classic style in mind. Such elements as vintage lace, rhinestone gems, and the lace-like texture of plumosa foliage gave subtle hints of the bride’s style. Photography (the first two images shown) is courtesy of Perfect Pear Photography.

The bride carried a bouquet of lavender and white fuji mums, purple dahlias, purple stock, purple alstroemeria, and plumosa. Her bouquet was accented with several different rhinestone and pearl gems, found on etsy.com by the bride. (We love etsy!) I used a very old and nicely aged ivory lace to wrap around her stems, as well as a ruffled lace going vertical along the stem wrap. Bridesmaids’ bouquets were a scaled-down version of the bride’s, and without the white fuji mums.
At the wedding reception, which was held at Tall Timbers, we used various milk glass vases from our collection to display the lovely ‘Cool Water’ Roses, fuji mums, dahlias, plumosa, dyed integrifolia, purple hydrangea, and more of the bride’s sweet rhinestone and pearl gems.
